Indie-Cember is coming!

Indie-Cember is one of my favorite times of the year! As some of you know, I’m a big gamer, and while I LOVE playing games, I also love analyzing them and sharing conversations with others. Indie-Cember is my way of highlighting various current and upcoming indie games. Hopefully it’ll expose people to games they’ve never heard of. I’m sure I’ll learn a thing or two along the way as well! Be sure to check it out all December long on my Twitter page.

My custom Indie-Cember logo created with Illustrator and Photoshop. I used the logos of 5 different indie games to create the logo. Can you name them all?

Meet Me At Sunshine Tree

I’ve been having so much fun creating logos, images, and other assets for the Instagram account “Meet Me At Sunshine Tree” (@meetmeatsunshinetree). This Disney lifestyle account focuses on well known (and lesser known) parts of the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. Definitely check it out if you’re a die hard Disney fan, or just want to live vicariously through a Disney parks lover!

Ninten-ducational

So, my wife is crushing her new job as a 9th grade English teacher! She does a great job of relating to her students, and recently wanted a way of relating to them even more. I used this as an opportunity to create some fun posters for her, using custom made Nintendo illustrations! These characters really do stand the test of time, and these were a ton of fun to work on! I tried to evoke the work of Yoichi Kotabe and other Nintendo illustrators to really nail down the style of the work I used to love as a kid. For my money, when I think of Mario et al., I always think of the beautiful done work by Kotabe. It’s an honor to attempt to replicate that style as an adult!

Characters were created using original drawings in the style of Nintendo illustrators, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Donkey Kong and The Legend of Zelda characters are owned by Nintendo.
